Hi,
My name is Jonathan, and I'm from central IL. I've got a small back yard hill, and am interested in building a snow gun for it. I'm a Mechanical Engineering student, so I understand most of the tech stuff behind how snow guns work, now I've just got to figure out how to build one practically. Thats why I joined this forum. I am especially interested in building and external mixing snow. Does anyone have any suggestions? I should not I have access to an air compressor and power washer.

Nice to have another member. Good post Thumbs up Keep them up, you will get better replies to a well writen post that gives all the needed info.

You should probably start with a TEE gun. They are simple to use and only need an air compressor, but these guns dont make much snow. The great thing about them is that they are easy to use and teach you alot snowmaking.

Feel free to ask questions if your confused, but try to use the find button first. Thumbs up

Hey. read a lot on the forums before you buy anything and it will save you a lot of time and money. knowing with the best valves, pipes and nozzles are will help you a ton. I just started making snow and i jumped in too quickly and bought a few things that i didn't really need and nozzles are definitely important too. Also if you notice asking questions on here will get responses very quickly, this place is the best resource you can find online.
