i am going to give this snow making a try this winter. i am excited. i built a t gun sort of like u showed. i had trouble finding all 1/4 fitting so i have so 1/2. did you think that this will effect the flow or anything.

half inch fittings should work just fine for a tee gun. many of the people here (including me) have used 1/2 inch for tee guns.

yep. In fact some of us (well, pretty much just me) have used 1/2" pvc for tee guns, and it works great and is cheap. although i highly recommend against it unless you fully understand the hazards of using pvc with compressed air, especially in cold conditions. _____________________________________________________________ Cowboy Snowmaker

i am getting some flax from some on how dumb and crazy this is. they say that am going to get hurt and brake stuff. i put the gun together and are ready to rock and or roll; and now think how safe is this???

If you want to increase safety, put a check valve on your water line, and your air line (best done on the compressor and spigot, not on the gun). That will keep water and/or air from flowing backwards if the gun freezes/clogs for some reason. __________________________ All I need now is a bigger hill

thanks i had put then on but i put them at the gun. i just think that the people like to live in the box and then outside is no good. i still am going head with the project. it is just the compressor we are having problems with. we have a gas powered one that is noisey and crabby nieghbors. so we want to upgrade and get another, but to find one that will work and not crap out and that is not big bucks. we are try for 5 cfm at 90psi, will a smaller one work and what is a good tank size. i also am looking and getting a presser washer for the next gun, what should i be looking for??

Best cheap compressor around: Eaton Contractor A bunch of us have them, and everyone seems really happy with them so far. __________________________ All I need now is a bigger hill

Direct drive. I don't think you can find a belt driven one for that little $$$. __________________________ All I need now is a bigger hill

Unless you build it from ebay parts, or look at your local salvage yard. Of course neither of those will be a plug and play machine... You'll either have to build it or fix it. Or both, lol. _____________________________________________________________ Cowboy Snowmaker
