Both myself and my husband signed up. Don't see snow too often in our area. 1st & only snow our 2 granddaughters(4&6) played in was 2 years ago (TN mountain vacation)and it was GREAT seeing their joy & excitement in the snow & of course making their 1st. Snow Angels. So _SnowAngel_ it is... in their honor. Told my husband I wanted a snow gun for Christmas. I want to give my granddaughters ~~~snow~~~ With the help of you and my dear husband I know I can do it... WOW my granddaughters 1st. Alabama snow & it will be made by me & DH of course!
Husband (Plowboy) is a master plumber and has his own plumbing contractor business & he's already got my piping for my SM4 (combo type) snow gun right in front of me for me to play with it's design. Might post it later to see if design needs tweeking. Waiting on ordered 4002's & 4003. Last 3 days I've read probably 20 plus hours on this site. Confusing sometimes but have learned alot and my design has changed from a day ago. Still alot to learn. I love creating things - gardening, woodworking & Halloween haunted yard. Made a fog chiller this year with garbage can & dryer vent hose. Already thinking (chiller) for our tap water, not an easy answer from what I've read on your very informative site. Oh and yes the snow is for me to play in too! Of course the design and creative part is exciting for me. I just might get hooked on snow making? Will our snow gun burst forth with snow? Will we get a good wetbulb here in the southeast to make snow?

I guess my question was worded wrong. I'm already aware of the wetbulb (printed chart days ago)and what was your wetbulb for last year (mine 22 days). My post was just an introduction of myself and my question was to mother nature because we have crazy winters here in central Alabama hot one day, cold the next. Sorry for the confusing.

Hello snowangel, and welcome.to ansewer your question about the temp and wetbulb im not sure but if you go to **********.com there is a snowmaking tool on there where you enter your zip code and itr will tell you the current temp and on the tabs up top you can see what days you could have made snow last year. we also have the same set-up right here on the forum.

I'm not sure if I posted this in my sticky but its all about your gpm and cfm. More cfm will get you drier snow, more gpm will get you more snow.

Give us some pictures of your setup!
Hope you like the site and you'll find everything you need for snowmaking here. Hats off to you for not buying a snowgun from SAH, as you probably will/have seen, they are way to expensive!
