I own 1 200 cfm compressor and 2 150 cfm compressors and want to make alot of snow. most of what I'm seeing is small cfm or power washer snow making can any one help with bigger guns. I'm an irrigtion pro 25 years in biz fittings pipes and gallon flow and presure loss are my game. I got sprinklers that are any where from 1 gpm to 150 gpm.

Wow... Sounds like a great job to be in to be a good snowmaker! I would suggest looking into one of those professional snowguns made for high pressures. Otherwise, build a BIG T-gun with stainless steel or something. It should be great! Smile

Puppies like slush, but snowmakers don't!

Definitely want to build a few large T or Y guns. With that much cfm you wont want a power washer because your water will be your limiting factor unless you actually have access to 150 gpm of water?. If you look around on the site there are a few guys who have 185cfm compressors. Should look at there old post's or talk to them and find out exact size of gun's to build.

Your biggest challenge will be cooling the air before it gets to the gun. Do you have a source for a bunch of cheap baseboard heater core?

Welcome to the forum. You will defintally have the problem like goof said with cooling the air. try to get maybe a shell and tube heat exchanger from ebay and run your water line through that. Then, just use a large nozzle for the air to get it up to 60-80psi and make it external mix. that way you can use max water with little or no pressure on the water side.

I would say 200cfm will get you at least 20gpm. start off with a 10.1 air/water ratio.
