But other than that who'da thunk drillin holes in pipe caps could be so much fun...my wife thinks im nutz

Welcome to the forum. You seem to be having quite a bit of fun already, which is a great thing. Once you read through some more things you'll see how simply you can make snow, and also how complicated you can make it if you like creating things.
