Hey everyone from Western Kentucky!!

I got this bright Idea to make snow in my own yard many years ago, never got serious about it. This last year I finally got the bug and it got a good bite. My daughter Lives in Louisiana, and hoped it would snow when she was up over Christmas. So I started my search for info. Made plan in my head on how to do it. Found some basic stuff on the web. Most everybody was saying Buy these custom snow making nozzles. My Local farm store had more nozzles than you could shake a stick at, One of them was bound to work. They had plastic, brass and stainless steel one.

It finally got cold enough to test and it worked! That was the end of the basic stuff for me. Go big or go home! As I played with the nozzles and watch the temps. I got to where I could put down 4 inches and hour in my front yard.

I still have the fever and need to feed it with a small fan gun now. One that is about 12 inches should do in my yard (no hill here). I have already started looking and collecting parts. Have to how much I can get done on it this summer and be ready for the 2008-09 winter season.

I was So thrilled to find this site. Looks like a lot of trial and error had passed before everyone.

Welcome to snowguns, yeah trial and error is nothing new to the members on this site. Keep up your work, and take some pictures so we can try and help with anything. Pictures are worth 1000 words.

Thanks!
I have made lots of pictures so far. I will try to post some of them. I went yesterday and started buying line, "T"s and couplings to start a new gun.Called my brother, who has access to some materials I don't normally get. Got him looking for stuff.
I will post some pics of my new one as I get it started.

Well, I started to post some pic, but then I discovered they were to big and the system does not resize them automatically. So I had to go back and resize them. I have lots of software for pictures, to to bulk resize them was not a option. I found that Microsoft has a power toy to do a bulk resize on photos. I am going to post some and you all can be the judge if it does a good job.
