Hey everyone. I'm from a small town in Northwest Georgia in the mountains near Chattanooga, TN and Fort Payne, Alabama. Though we dont get that much snow around here, the temp drops (along with the relative humidity) enough to make a decent amount of snow.

The science behind all of really interests me but the level of ingenuity that is behind the engineering of many of the homemade snow makers is what piqued my interest.

How did some of you get started with this? By that, I mean what made you think that this would be an awesome hobby?

thanks for the warm welcomes. Reverend Maynard's vids definitely caught my attention as well. A fangun would be fun to build but I need to crawl before I run a marathon I think. So, time to get started with a Tee Gun Smile

i was tired of cold winters with not alot of snow. Long stretches of brown grass right in the heart of winter. So i figured if resorts could do it, why couldn't I? A few hours of googling and I ended up here.
