First off, thank you for allowing me to join this website. I have already found more valid and pertinant information than i could ever have found out on my own. This site is the ish. I am really interested in the ability to make snow and tried to make my first internal mixing gun from plans off the internet. It sounds like everyone else has some version of this same set up. I have yet to make good quality snow but i have only tried for about 10-15 hours last year since phoenix has only has 2 nights of the whole year that get below freezing. I want to know if there is anyone in az or phoenix that has successfully made snow and plans on doing so again this year. I have not taken pics but i will upload and ask for help once i know the correct spot to post it to get the answers i need. In general, i have a 3 nozzle +1 nuc nozzle set up. The main barrel is made out of stainless steel pipe(Dewalt 3 nozzle power sweeper) with 3 nozzles that are 4" apart from each other. The main mozzles are coded:965013. I have no clue what this means since i have no clue who makes the nozzle so i thought i may as well throw that out there too. My bottom nuc nozzle is set up so i can quick change it out but i really have no clue what size to use.( i used the 90 and 40 degree last year) These nozzles are from a regular pressure washer rented from the home depot. If anyone has any info both good and bad and has an idea of where i should post my pics and current ideas it would be greatly appreciated. I have to finish the last 2 weeks of schhol and then i can devote more time to taking your advise and making better snow. After spending 20 mins on this site my brain is on total overload and i need some help. Thank you for allowing me to join your site and i hope to increase my knowledge of snowmaking.

Hey mitch, i appreciate the link to the pages you have provided it will help out. I already copy and pasted all this info into a seperate document for use whenever. The only question i really have are if the nozzle number i listed sounds familiar to you and if so, is my nozzle size ok for possible snowmaking. I called dewalt and they cant tell me a thing. The nozzle orfice is smaller than the quick connect nozzle for a regular pressure washer so i am almost positite the water molecules come out nice and small. The next question is should i resort to using a smaller orfice nozzle for the nuc nozzle for better atomization or should i just keep the bigger orfice for the nuc? One more question is the use of an inline check valve on the air inlet. I have a pesky ball valve since i cant find anyone in the hood that sells the **** thing. Will the use of an inline check valve allow me some leway with the water air mix? I dont think it would but it never hurts to ask.
I made some heavy wet snow last year but i was using way too much aqua for the amount of air i was providing the gun. To top it off the temps were barely 27 degrees and a tad bit of humidity(sorry cant remember the humidity). I feel confident in my skills and the quality of gun i made but being as i live in the hotsest part of the earth it makes it tough to learn this ill ass skill in an appropriate amount of time.
I will post pictures of my gun after i finish my last 2 classes before i finally gradute with a teaching degree so i am really busy for now but give me week and i will post it.
Oh and by the way, Thank you once agin for all the help that has been posted as well as the support you provide us newbies.
Why pray for snow when you can make it yourself!!!

Tell you the truth, instead of asking all these newbie questions and trying to make snow with what i have is stupid. The only thing i am really held up on is the nozzles. How much are 3 4002 and 1 4003? Oh you say maybe ten bucks! I am going to purchase new nozzles that you guys have proven time and time agian that it works. I will try to find the topic with the link to purchase these nozzles and hopefully my next question will be what the heck do i do with all this snow!?! Thnak you for your help and i look forward to posting my pics after i order and put together my gun.
