Hey everyone! My name is Chris and im from NC. I would like to make up to two inches of snow or more. What kind of snow gun would be the best to make? Where would I go to find out how I would make one?

Please note in order to make snow you need freezing temps (generally 26-28 degrees depending upon the humidity) and an air compressor.

Could I use a pressure washer in the place of the hose?

I think you mean to ask if you could use a pressure washer for a water source instead of household water....

And if you're wanting to do that with just a teegun, then NO!

Pressure washers are used when building SM4's/Combo's. Master that teegun first, then start checking out the top posts in the Advanced section.

How good will the teegun do? How much snow can it make?

Depends on your air supply, but they're very inefficient from an air to water ratio standpoint. The best you can hope for is 10 CFM of air to 1 GPM of water.

What size compressor do you have?

I have a h HP Air Compressor. Its a 13 gal 6.5 cfm @ 40 psi.

Okay well what is the diff between a combo and a Tee?

wow... 6.5 cfm is awful low for a 5 hp compressor... is it a gas powered compressor? Most 5 hp compressors I've seen run in the 12-18 cfm range.


The difference between a combo and a tee is that a combo gun has extra nozzles above the teegun (nuc nozzle, in this case) powered by a high pressure pump such as a pressure washer.

Must be an older compressor made when manufacturers were allowed to lie and list "Peak HP".

The compressor is only two years old. No it is not a gas compressor. I hope in a few weeks to buy a bigger one tho. Would the one I have now work?
