Helo im from staten island ny and ive recently had an interest in snow making so i can make a ski trail at home.

I want to make snow without air and i have read of it being done but i cant find any proof.

I have a pressure washer with a 3.5 gpm pump (forgot psi)

when use the 0 degree nozzle and shoot up i get a fine mist back down

My question is if i spray this mist of a second story deck up into the air another 20+ feet during cold wheather 20 degrrees, will i get snow. (i would be satisfied with small diameter hail like .5 mm) I also have a gas 200mph blower and electric. Can i use these to nucleate the water particles or blow the water higher up so that it has enough time to freeze.

My goal is to build a base for a ski trail and a small amount of natural snow will coat the surface of the trail

can i use a 1 cfm tire inflater for the machine

Can something be built where air is added into the water that is not compressed air. (some kind of valve where air can get in using the pressure of the water flow?

If all you want is ice pellets, just spraying water might be able to do it.

Clearly you have no idea how snowmaking works. Do some research and you will see why you need air to make snow.

Technically you can make snow without air, but it just isnt practical on the home scale
