I'm a snowboarder, I love snow. I live in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada (3,000 ft). I am surrounded by mountains that get over 500 inches of natural snow annually, but I don't get much where I live. However, the temps fall into the low 20 and teens a lot.

Basically, I want to make snow for a backyard terrain park. I already have an air compressor that runs at 8.9 cfm @ 100 psi, Compressor and my garden hose flows at 120 psi.

Well, you can make a t-gun just to get aquainted with the basics, but don't expect alot of snow. If you don't mind me asking, whats your budget? Because you could find a used fressure washer or two for less than $75 if you keep your eye out, then you could build an sm4 and be in buisness.

I would be willing to spend around 200 (maybe 250) for the full setup.

Ok, well like I said, you can make a T-gun to get familiar with snowmaking, or you can go for a combo right of the bat. Keep in mind, you can use the parts of a T-gun to help build your sm4. You can pull of an sm4 pretty easily with your setup and compressor with $200. You'll find that youll need alot of stupid little things like hoses, connectors, and other misc. parts that will all ad up in price.
