Hi guys im sorta new around here and looking to start making snow. I think i will build a t gun to understand making snow. I do not have an air compressor but will buy one when i figure out the best one to buy. Any suggestions? I do have a nice pressure washer for when i decide to build a combo gun. I will hopefully build my way up to a fan gun but thats looking long term. Any sugestions on nozzles? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Snowguns!!!

there is a guide to nozzles that you will find. Also there are many air compressors that you can get, you can look up different opinions on the forums as well.
The search button works wonders!

I'm far more a fan of drilling a hole in a pipe plug, and sticking that right into the front of your TEE fitting instead of using a nipple and a cap. The shorter the "mixing chamber" the better it will work.

In fact, I think we should stop calling that long nipple that you sometimes see on teeguns a mixing chamber, because in reality, it's a separation chamber. lol

The EATON contractor compressor on the page linked above is an excellent choice.

If you're on a super thin budget, Harbor Freight sells a 2 hp 8 gallon black compressor on wheels. They go on sale for 99 bucks all the time, and you can print a harbor freight coupon off the internet for 20% off any item. Then you pay 10 bucks for the no questions asked replacement guarantee, and you've got 6 cfm that cost 90 bucks, and they'll replace it if it blows up from running nonstop.

The first one is the most common choice. Eaton contractor is the name I believe.

I recommend an eaton compressor to a freind...the first one cam in with its rings in backwards (so oil poured out of ever hole in it) the second one is only about 6 months old and is already taking longer to build pressure....CHEAP CHINA CRAP IS JUST THAT REGARDLESS OF WHO'S SELLING IT. EATON's are at best middle of the road when it comes to quality.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
